One cup of lettuce and one half cup of beans with one flour tortilla and one slice of low-fat mozzarella cheese along with 1/3 cup brown rice. The total calories are about 326.

Some versions of the 1,000 calorie diet plan call for smaller serving sizes of the three main meals along with two small snacks like 50 calories of cottage cheese or fruit.

It’s important that dieters check the packages of the food eaten for caloric information. There’s an online calorie counter at a calorie counter for fruits and vegetables. Dieters also need to be sure to drink plenty of water. Other zero-calorie drinks are optional.

Healthy Weight Loss

Most health experts recommend that most dieters eat at least 1,200 calories a day and lose no more than one to two pounds a week. In some cases, people who are obese and suffer from life-threatening obesity related illnesses can consume fewer than 1,200 calories a day and lose more than two pounds a week as long as they’re under the supervision of a doctor.

    I wanted to add something, when you are going on a diet, you dont have to start all at once. In my experience I started very slowly, I took out one big source of calories from my diet and that made a big difference. I then started to gradually taking out sources of calories and then I lost alot of weight.
